The Illuminaires music video "WHAT" was shot in black and white around Washington Heights and Harlem this past week. Illuminaires is a male female rap duo consisting of uptown natives Jatneezy and MF Fresh.
This past weekend April co-directed a fashion video with arts photographer/artist Le'Andra LeSeur for the queer unisex fashion brand Wesley Berryman.
SCISSR, (created by Lauren Augarten) is a new lesbian webseries set in Brooklyn and it just wrapped production on it's first season! April Maxey wrote and directed one episode of the season, and Meg Skaff was featured in an episode as her alter ego "Uncle Meg" on a blind date!
The Falling Birds music video "My Girl," which was directed by April Maxey and Produced by Summer Czajak, won an award for Creative Achievement at MOVE MUSIC FEST!
So excited that "This Is You and Me," April Maxey's 3rd narrative short film, will have it's World Premiere at Kashish Mumbai Queer Film Festival in India! Kashish is the largest queer film festival in South Asia! The film will screen in the Shorts Film Program "Paint Me Love" this Saturday, May 28th at the Alliance Francaise De Bombay.
